This large abandoned country home is located on a 2.5 acre parcel of land with a natural pond & mostly surrounded by trees. The 1 1/2 storey home has 3 bathrooms & 4 bedrooms above the grade & one below. The home is roughly 3,500 square feet & sold a few years back for one & a half million dollars.
There are three fireplaces in this home with one in the kitchen, on in the great room & one in the basement family room. Although one had been completely removed, another had marble & a beautiful wood mantel which you can see in the video.
The great room was an octagon shape with plenty of windows the let would allow the setting sun to come pouring in. I had assumed this home would hold a heritage status due to its age however from all the research I have done I cannot find anything stating it will be saved. It's sad really as I suspect it will be demolished & replaced with high density housing as development nearby looms.
