Earlier this year Zenning with Zay & I visited this Huge Abandoned Brick House!  Our friend Static Spaces shared it with us!




As you can see this place sits on a very nice sized lot!  Not a very common thing these days when in the city so it was highly sought after & worth some bucks!  Not a reasonable amount either.





The inside of this huge abandoned brick house was surprisingly in excellent condition.  It was huge with a massive family room, dining room & even a back sunroom!





The kitchen here was very dated but I loved it!  It seemed like it was never updated aside from the appliances!  I loved the colour & wallpaper in here.





Upstairs also seemed quite dated.  It was as if they didn't do any upgrades at all throughout.  It was sad to see it sitting when there was so much potential.  The hardwood floors throughout were amazing & all the rooms were huge!





In the basement was really the only areas where we saw decay.  There was clearly water damage wither from a leak or burst pipe.  The basement itself was quite odd & didn't really match the resto of this Huge Abandoned Brick House.  It was almost asylumesque in some areas!





Now for the best in my opinion!  The stairs & that wallpaper!  My God was that wallpaper something else.  They definitely spent some big bucks on it ensuring it aligned every where!  It was certainly busy but at the same time very cool looking!  I am sure some would hate it but to each their own!  This was definitely an epic adventure!

On a hot summers day in 2021 Zenning with Zay & I headed down to the big city to explore the Vacant Seven Million Dollar Villa Mansion!





Back in the early summer of 2021 this Seven Million Dollar Villa Mansion was quite a popular place! It's unique design architecture, features, location & price tag checked most of the boxes that explorers like! So one day Zay said we should head down & check it out!





Now before we dive in to the good stuff I figured lets get past the not so interesting parts first!  The upper floor of the mansion had four bedrooms including the master.  The rooms were nothing extraordinary.  Aside from the master bathroom with its odd layout, there was really nothing to exciting about it either! Fortunately the rest of this mansion was packed with awesomeness!





Now I'll start easing you into the awesomeness!  The main floor had two bathrooms & both had incredible wallpaper!  A huge family room, living room & dining room all has their own unique style which I am sure was nice accented with just the right décor.  I especially loved the dining room with the wild wallpaper & matching chandelier!  Now let's get to the epicness!!!





The indoor swimming pool was pretty amazing! The whole room itself was stunning with the wood beams, plethora of windows & even the little bridge! This room was truly stunning!  But there was more to see....





The basement was obviously made for entertaining! From the billiards room to the tiki bar night club, there were definitely some jumping parties held here! Last but certainly not the least is the staircase.





Now before I close this one off I thought I would add some recent info. THe stairs area had been gutted & it appeared for a whie that it would be renovated. However, I discovered that there are plans for a new build that may incorporate some of the original staircase. With the plans, the property was listed at just over $9,000,000 at the beginning of 2022. Then, just two months later a new & identical listing emerged but this tim ith a $23,000,000 price tag! Should be interesting to see what eventually happens here.

This Abandoned 1960s Colonial House was a random discovery Zenning with Zay & I randomly came across.  It was completely by chance that we found it.  We had been waiting to try another place but there were so many citizens out for a walk we decided to not waste anymore time so we left.  After maybe two turns down random streets we spotted this place & went in for a closer look!





Now looking at this place, it wasn't easy to determine if it was abandoned or not.  It seemed the driveway & walkway were cleared of snow & there were basketballs out front giving the impression the kids just ran inside for a minute.  But, to me I saw abandoned house.  The lack of snow is easily explained by the sun warming the asphalt & stone walkway.  The balls were just there, likely from local kids using the hoop & of course I spotted a window that was slightly open.  It was freezing cold outside so nobody would want the window open!  So I walked up as I often do & had a look.  Yep, she was abandoned!

Abandoned 1960s Colonial House





This Abandoned 1960s Colonial Home is one of thousands of empty houses in Toronto. After selling for a whopping 2.5 million dollars in 2015, it has sat. Slowly decaying.  This may seem overpriced, which it is, but this is also Toronto & for some reason people want to live there!   The neighbourhood where this house is has been changing over the last few years with many older homes being demolished for newer/bigger ones.  Some of the newer ones are in price range of 10+ million dollars!!





The house wasn't anything huge but it certainly was a fair size. The front living room stetched from front to back & had a nice fireplace with marble a mantel. If you walked straight in the front door you enter the dining room that leads out to a sun room through french doors.





The kitchen in the Abandoned 1960s Colonial House was very dated & small.  Definitely all original as was most of this place.  The carpeting in e front & stairs was added at a later date as I could feeling the buckling hardwood flooring beneath.





The upstairs here was rather small. With three bedrooms, two of which were quite small. I did take pics of them all but one seemed out of focus so didn't bother posting it. Then there was the bathroom! This was a seriously green room! Then to finish off the explore I check out the basement.  Much to my surprise there was a sweet family room down there! The fireplace was a nice touch & I bet it would be cozy down there in the winter!

After a year of patiently watching & waiting I finally got to explore the Vacant Tudor Revival Mansion.  Unfortunately it was being renovated but it still was pretty epic!





I first came across the mansion with Zenning with Zay & we made a few attempts at getting in.  Each time though, it was always locked up tight.  The Vacant Tudor Revival Mansion is located in a very wealthy neighbourhood & sits on two lots.  It was originally owned by the a widowed philanthropist of an Toronto industrialist.  The mansion, is said to be fit for a baron which makes sense since the industrialist was knighted before his death.





After a few more attempts I found myself in the neighbourhood with Freaktography!  As we parked I noticed a wooden fence was now around the property.  This was possibly a good sign for us as explorers but possibly bad for the house.  We quickly made our way inside & were a little disappointed but still excited.  Turns out the mansion was being renovated!  It wasn't until I got home that I did some extensive research on the property.





Construction on the mansion was completed in 1921 & was the home for the wealthy industrialist window. There were so many fine details throughout but sadly most were now removed. The owners who purchased the mansion in 2018 wanted to tear in down & build two smaller McMansions on the grounds but locals wouldn't allow it. The mansion was given heritage status & studies done show that th desired new builds would not only cause threat to mature trees in neighbouring properties, it would also destroy architectural design elements the neighbourhood is known for.





The owners on the mansion were forced to keep things on the ground as is but were free to renovate the inside.  It seems that we missed the best time to visit here by a few months but that was when it was locked up tight.  The mansion sold for roughly $6,000,000 & after the permit process was complete, work began.  I must say that despite not seeing it when it was completely vacant, I was happy to get in & explore it.  Places like this are all too often destroyed to make way for boring new mansion & high density housing.





Of all the features of the mansion I wanted to see, the grand staircase was obviously the highest on the list. I was very happy to see that they planned on saving. But, I wish I could have seen it when the wood walls were still in place. A happy ending for a gorgeous mansion when so many are destroyed in the name of progress.

Located in an area where land is worth more than mansions in the Abandoned Millionaires Row Mansion!  Back in March Zenning with Zay & I looked around this place as we suspected it was abandoned however the front light was on & there were snowbanks plowed in the driveway so we decided not to press our luck.  Fast forward several months & my good friend Freaktography had the good news that it was indeed abandoned!





Now to clear the air before anyone points it out, yes the power is still connected & yes the grounds are somewhat maintained. There are dozens of reasons why power is not cut a places & in this area it's because a developer owns the land & really doesn't care about losing a few bucks a month. The delivery fee & trickle of actually power usage is nothing compared to the millions in profit they will earn once redevelopment is complete. As for the grounds, there are by-laws in place that require laws to be cut otherwise there will be fines. Some developers don't care, but apparently this one does.





The surprising thing here was that the pool was empty!  More times than not the pools at these places resemble a swamp & are a huge safety hazard so it was nice to see it emptied.  Also note that the front light by the door is on & has been for months, if not years!





Once inside I started of the explore of the Abandoned Millionaires Row Mansion in the family room & study.  The family room was absolutely massive with plenty of windows however the tree coverage on the grounds didn't let a lot of light in.  I especially enjoyed the recessed dome in the ceiling!  The study, well it was beautiful but that carpet was awful!





The front doors were flanked with small closets & featured a beautiful tiled floor with chandelier above.  You could walk into the study, family room, dining room & into the main corridor once inside.  The dining room was very nice with beams on the ceiling.  Personally I would rather see the raw wood than painting over them but to each their own!  The kitchen was off the dining room & although very nice, it was quite small for the size of this place. One thing I loved about this place was the wallpaper used in the bathrooms.  Someone really spent a lot of time putting it in!





Much to our surprise the place kept going which is why we call it a mansion!  Beyond the kitchen led to a cured corridor with a beautiful bedroom off it that featured a wild wallpapered bathroom!  Definitely a good spot for a selfie!





Also at the back of the mansion was another bedroom with wild wallpapered bathroom. Then a huge sunroom with a large room off of it. This place was massive!





The basement of the mansion was amazing!  The colours & wallpaper were outrageous!  One can only imagine the wild parties that went down here!  Definitely one of the funkier abandoned mansions we've explored!
