Completely hidden from sight up a long driveway sits this Abandoned Ontario Time Capsule House.  Freaktography had told me about it & suggested I check on it as he had not had the time yet so Zenning with Zay & I decided to have a look & see what we could find!  I didn't have high hopes considering the house appeared to be completely boarded but then I spotted a door that was open!  Once inside I was shocked & amazed with what we had walked into.



The entry point was through a side door that led into the kitchen.  As my eyes adjusted to the darkness I figured I had just walked into a trashed house.  Right away I noticed the wheelchair which would told me this was likely the home of an elderly person.  It felt as if this place was tossed & looted& with any explore I moved around the house to do an initial walk through.  It was then I realized this house may have been looted a bit, but for the most part it wasn't.  Why you ask?



As I moved into the dining room it became quite apparent.   What I had originally thought was just junk piled everywhere. I also noticed a lot of the drywall ceiling was missing.  Looking around more I noticed the drywall was underneath the piles of stuff.  I then put my light at the ceiling & that's when it clicked.  A vast majority of these things were in the attic as I could still see other items still up there!   The roof was bad causing water to seep in turning the drywall into mush & letting the stored items rain down on the main floor!  This was a time capsule of sorts!!



It was clear that some things had been removed & moved around but for the most part everything was still there.  The collapsing ceiling & the stuff that fell made some areas very difficult to navigate.  I decided at the time I wasn't going to bother with a video as it was quite difficult to navigate around empty handed!  There was really so many interesting this throughout & I pressed on to see what I found find next!



The bedrooms had clearly been looted as drawers were out but if someone had the time & patience I bet there were some real treasures to be found.  I did not have either & was getting frustrated with poor lighting & footing.



At this point I decided to focus on some of the details I could easily get to which did not disappoint!  This Abandoned Ontario Time Capsule House was full of really interesting items & would have been incredible a few years ago however the property was quite active up until recently so any access would not have been possible.

My second visit to the Sexy Retreat Time Capsule was only two weeks after my first explore.  This time I was Freaktography who was excited to see a spot with so much promise!




Second Visit

My first visit here I was definitely nervous & raced through it.  I knew the place was definitely abandoned but it still had me on edge.  One detail I never let out as the state of the driveway.  It basically looked like an old logging trail as there were many downed trees.  It was clearly impassable for MANY years!  Here was what I saw when I made the trek up the first time.  The below pictures were never posted previously until now!


Needless to say when I came upon these I knew it was going to be an epic explore! Now I should add that when I first found this place, the left door was kicked in. Judging by how the place looked, someone had rummaged through looking for cash & jewelry I suspect. Things that are small & easy to make money from.

Nothing really changed since my first visit to the second but it was only a few weeks!  I did take more time to try & capture some of the details I had breezed by previously.  It wasn't until my third explore of this place where Zenning with Zay & I went together!  That was about 1.5 years after I had first discovered it!  We had both been separately but wanted to check in on it together.  Boy had things changed.

End of Days


It was pretty obvious that not only had the decay increased, but it had been looted. You can see in dining room especially where items once on the high shelves are missing in the latest set.  Here are some comparison photos!





It really is amazing to see the difference. I had returned after this visit but once was unable to check in as there were people horseback riding right near the house. Another it had been locked up tight. Then last September we drove by one last time. Sexy Retreat Time Capsule has been demolished with a new home being built in its place.

While Zenning with Zay & I were on a road trip we explored this Mysterious Abandoned Time Capsule!  We were brought here by our friends Cherotica & Knife Guy who babysat Opie while we explored it!





We had already explored a whole heap of abandoned place when they took up to this abandoned time capsule!  This is a true time capsule as it is left in a state where it seems the owners just disappeared.  Leaving one day & never returning.  So is the case with this place.





The upstairs of the Abandoned House was exactly setup as if the owners would be back anytime. So many items just left untouched. It's really sad to see this & leaves so many unanswered questions.





The bookshelf on the upper level was pretty cool! There were loads of old & interesting things left behind including the antique Shreddies box! Then downstairs to check out the ground floor!





The kitchen of the Mysterious Abandoned Time Capsule was amazing! So many antique appliances! It's pretty wild to think that these would be used every day! There were in incredible condition too!





The last two rooms on the main floor were bedrooms. I suspect there were rooms were last used for bedrooms as the family could no longer manage the stairs. We see this quite often which tells a story which almost always ends in the passing of the owners. This is likely the case with this place. Unfortunately there is little information available to share. All in all this was an epic explore!!

This Abandoned Time Capsule Cottage was the first explore Zenning with Zay & I did as a married couple!!





Now looking this place from the outside you really wouldn't expect too much. It looked small & liekly trashed based entirely on how it looks. I know many places we've checked that looked similar were let downs. But this places was not at all a let down! In fdact it was amazing!





As you can see it was vey overgrown & we had gone in early October of 2021. It wasn't easy to get many shots of the property as you can see!




When I first entered the Abandoned Time Capsule Cottage I was in the mud room.  Well, I guess it was really a storage room but it could essentially be a mud room!  From there I ended up i the kitchen which as pretty amazing! Clearly stuff had been rummaged through.   Between human & animal scavengers, the floor was a mess.  But, the cupboards & shelves were still neatly setup!  Pretty odd to say the least but VERY cool to see!





The cottage had one two bedrooms rooms so we start off with the back one. This was such an odd one as it was clearly a kids bedroom & so many personal items left behind.





The front bedroom was just as cool & also seemed like it was for a kid. Perhaps an adult but who knows. I also semi suspect the kids styed in the house while the grown folks stayed in a trailer outside but this is all speculation!





The last area to explore was the living room. This was likely where most time indoors was spent. After a long day of outdoor adventures I imagine the family ate then unwound with some board games or just chilling & sharing stories!  A pretty awesome place to explore! Especially for being our first explore after getting married in an abandoned prison!!

On a cold & rainy day Zenning with Zay took me to this Hidden Abandoned Time Capsule Mansion! The driveway was so overgrown I almost didn't believe that there was actually an abandoned house up it. But as we got closer it revealed itself!





At the end of the long driveway was a set of gates which really was the only indication that there was anything back there. The overgrowth was quite surprising. It was obvious this Hidden Abandoned Time Capsule Mansion had sat for a very long time.





As we rounded the corner the house came into full view! This was such an amazing sight!! Right out of a horror film!  We knew right away that this was going to be an epic adventure!!!  The creepy old cars, heavy decay & overgrowth really made it a spooky scene!





Before heading in, let's check out the rest of the property! Out back was a big surprise! A huge inground pool that was in by far the worst condition I have ever seen! It's one thing to find a murky pool, but this had trees growing in it! The foundation of the pool had cracked & crumbled likely leading to pool draining into the ground. Beyond that was a pool utility house which was uninteresting, but behind it was an old boat! The decay on the boat was amazing!!! But now let's head inside!





The kitchen was the first place I explored once inside. It was clear that literally everything had been left behind. Bills were still piled on the counter, dishes left in the sink & food from the the refrigerator & cupboards had been strewn across the kitchen. I suspect this was a combination of vandals & animals that made the mess. That said, it was pretty interesting so far!





At the back of the Hidden Abandoned Time Capsule Mansion was the dining room & much to my surprise the hutch was still there! On top of that, it was still filled with dishes etc from the past owners. These are typically treasured items so it was sad to see them still there. We also then get a first look into the best part of the place!





Now this room was absolutely amazing! The since, layout & of course decay! We were both amazed & just how decayed it was! The insulation & ceiling had all come down & covered everything! This is what a bad roof & years of abandonment will do! It was almost hard to believe that at one point in time this was lived in! The fireplace was pulling away from the house making it a very dangerous place. It's only a matter of time before it comes down making this place that much more dangerous!





The house had two upstairs that flanked the great room! One one side was two bedrooms with the front the bigger of them. They both had a shared bathroom & both were in terrible shape from the elements & critters.





The other side was the same however the master bedroom had everything still in it. As well, the home office was still setup. It was clearly locked in time as the tech was from the late 1990's. The last calendar I found here was from 2000 making this place abandoned for 21 years!





To wrap up this amazing place here is a more shots of that amazing rom taken from the second level! All in all I have to say this was an epic adventure! Gotta love those Time Capsules!
