This New Brunswick Abandoned House was a random find for Zenning with Zay & I on our last day of exploring. This was part of our epic adventure honeymoon!





It was our last day that we could spending adventuring so we did just that! Stopping at all the touristy places & taking pics of it all! It was a gloomy & wet day but that didn't put a damper on our spirits! A few short hours into the day & we came across this abandond house!





It was clearly abandoned so we left Opie in the car to have a look!  It turned out t be a lot more interesting than it looked at first.  That's the thing with some places.  You gotta dig in a bit sometimes to find the secret!





The kitchen area was pretty messed up & looked like someone was planning a reno.  But that never happened clearly! One thing I noticed were the awesome doors!  A real 1960s vibe!  Moving on things quickly became less trashed!





There main sitting/living area was a pretty good shape.  Only a bit of decay.  It's always surprising to find photos still hung on the walls of these places we go.





Upstairs had even more stuff with items left untouched like the beds!  The old A-Team bedsheets was some nostalgia for me as I had them as a kid!  Pretty cool too see them, in a bed of a abandoned house decades later!  The last bedroom had the coolest stuff!  I always enjoy finding old photographs & these portraits were awesome! In November of 2021 Zenning with Zay & I decided it was time to get away & go on a road trip!  In fact, it had been to nearly two months since we got married in the Abandoned Burwash Prison & no honeymoon as of yet!  So we decided to do what we both love which is exploring, road trips with our Opie, adventure & spending time together!!








I didn't start documenting our East Coast Road Trip until the third day.  The reason for this is that the first to days were essentially us driving through very familiar territory.  We just wanted to get out east as far as possible in the shortest amount of time!  The first stop we took where we actually took our cameras out was Chutes-de-la-Chaudière!  This 35M tall waterfall was VERY impressive!  Plus being able to access the bottom on those jagged rocks made for some great shots!





We then headed east along the backroads looking for anything interesting to shoot.  Soon enough we started coming across abandoned in Quebec near the New Brunswick border!  Unfortunately they were all locked up tight but that's okay!





The last stop of the day before we found a place to sleep was this huge abandoned school. Unfortunately I was unable to find anything about it & it was VERY well sealed so we didn't get a chance to go inside. That said, we were able to capture some dramatic sunsets as you can see!!

The next day we started out with exploring this Decaying Abandoned New Brunswick House.  This was explored before we even had a coffee into us!  That may sound like nothing, but we had slept in the car a few nights already so it was definitely needed!   From there We toured our way to Nova Scotia with plans of staying somewhere near the Bay of Fundy.  We stopped at an awesome covered bridge & a few more abandoned house but the weather was crummy & most places were locked up tight.   We had already travelled so far & were about half way into the adventure.  This was about the time we really started exploring!!   Stay tuned for part two!!

The last explore on Zenning with Zay & my Honeymoon Road trip was this Huge Abandoned Time Capsule House in New Brunswick!





It was the final day of exploring for us & due to torrential rains we had to change up or plans. Our initial destination was Cape Breton however the rain but the region under a state of emergency! We decided to head along the north coast, visiting anything that was interesting!





From the outside the place had a super eerie vibe!  The fog backdrop & bleached cedar shake made for a very ominous scene!  Plus, the place was clearly massive so we couldn't wait to get inside!





Starting upstairs, I checked out what seemed to be the servants quarters as the area was mainly accessible from a kitchen staircase.  This was a common thing in these older farm houses, especially where the family was wealthy.  This was clearly the case for the original owners of the Huge Abandoned Time Capsule House! As you can see, the first few rooms had a few items left behind but had been tossed about.  Fortunately as I explored on, things took a turn for the better!





The more of the house I explored, the more interesting the items I came across!  Not only did things become more interesting, but the decay was looking pretty sweet!  I'm a huge sucker for the natural decay which I am sure by now anyone who follows me is well aware!  Next it was time to head down to the main floor which was better than the upper level!!





The first room seemed to be a family room of sorts & was big & bright with a beautiful medallion on the ceiling for the chandelier. The doors & woodwork down here were amazing & in pristine condition!! From there you entered a living room which seemed to be the main relaxing area for the family!  We really got a good glimpse of the people that once occupied this place!





The last areas I checked out were the dining room & kitchen. The dining room was just off to the right of the staircase & connected with the kitchen. The wood work was just as beautiful as the rest of the main floor....aside from the wood paneling by the stairs! The kitchen was a bit of a mess but still had virtually everything left behind. As daylight was slipping away quickly, we decided to end our explore as we still had many hours of driving ahead of us! This was a pretty amazing place to end off our exploring for this road trip!!

On the sixth day of my & Zenning with Zay's epic road trip/Honeymoon when we came across this Decrepit Abandoned Farm House!





This house was located right next to an active house which always makes things interesting not knowing how people will react to explorers. Fortunately for us they were uninterested in what we were doing. Just from the outside I could tell that this place was going to be in rough shape but I had no idea what we were in for!





Once we made our way inside it was quite obvious this place had been abandoned a very long time.  The decay was really impressive & all natural.  I'm sure someone came in & stripped anything of value out.  But aside from that, it was mothers nature reclaiming this old home.  One odd thing to point out was the toilet in that massive room!  I suspect this was added for an elderly person who had mobility issues.   Similar to what we saw in this abandoned house.





Based on the level of decay I would estimate this Decrepit Abandoned Farm House had been abandoned for easily 30 years.  That said although it was in rough shape,  It was holding its own pretty good!





When I ventured upstairs I wasn't too surprised to find it decayed.  But in each room, the level of decay was surprising!  There were so many amazing colours & textures!  Plus the natural decay was incredible!  On top of that, tick spider webs tell the tale of rooms being unentered for a very long time.  Although there was nothing left behind, this was still a very awesome explore!!

On the second day of our road trip out to eastern Canada, Zenning with Zay spotted this Abandoned New Brunswick House as we headed to our camping spot.  Seeing as it was VERY dark we had been driving since sun up, we decided to check it out the next morning!





It was the crack of dawn on the third day of our road trip to Eastern Canada. The trip was actually our Honeymoon adventure as we have recently gotten married inside an Abandoned Prison!!  The first two days were mainly driving as there is a lot of ground to cover! As I mentioned, Zay spotted this not far from where we planned on camping so we decided to check it out to start our day! It turned out to be a pretty cool little spot!





The house is located at a busy intersection with many logging trucks rolling by as we explored. It also backs on to a river with the main bridge right beside it. Although a busy road, it's just a two lane country road! From the outside you can clearly see that nature is trying hard to take this one back!





After stepping in the front door I was greeted with a huge, enclosed, wrap-around porch! The one section had mostly caved in & looked pretty cool! Then at the back, hdden away in a corner was what appeard to be a small living space. There was even a hot plate with cooking instructions still on the wall! An odd spot, but could have been a cool place during the hot summer months!





Once inside the actual house there was a nice railing leading up the stairs but we'll head up there shortly. First we check out the living & dining room! The rooms were separated but a built in custom shelving unit! This was a pretty exquisite piece for a seemingly modest home. The decay was showing itself inside with some nice paint peels! But then I noticed something odd. There was a toilet in teh dining room! It was actually all connected too! Seemed rather strange to be sitting rght there but I guess it was deemed necessary & who am I to judge!





The last spot on the main floor was the kitchen. This was a typical kitchne with nothing the really stood out to me. I did like that there was back porch access but other than that, it was like any other kitchen. There were some pretty nice paint peels in there!





The last area we check out of this Abandoned New Brunswick House is the upstairs.  There were three modest sized bedrooms & a bathroom.  The first bedroom was empty, the second had an old bed frame, mail & bits of fabrics strewn everywhere!  The third bedroom Was quite moldy & had various items left behind.  Not a lot left but was still interesting to look around. The bathroom was the only "real" bathroom in the house & this led me to believe the toilet downstairs was to accommodate the potential of someone not being able to make it up the stairs in time.  All in all this was a pretty interesting house & a great way to start the day!
