I had found this Abandoned Hilltop Mansion but had no idea what the situation was.  You cannot see it from the road so we had to just drive up hoping it was something abandoned!   One fall day in 2022, Zenning with Zay & I took a chance to check it out.   Sure enough, it was abandoned!





From the outside it looked pretty amazing! We couldn't wait to get inside & explore it. There were some large holes in the roof & it as clear it had been abandoned for a while. The strange thing is that on Google maps it was definitely active.





When I opened the we were in absolute shock at the state of this place. It too a minute to even grasp what had been going on here but it quick became clear. There were animals that seemingly had to run of the mansion unsupervised. It wasn't until six months later did I discover the truth behind this place. I had taken a picture of a credit card wit a name on it for research purposes but completely forgot I had. I had planed on waiting a while before posting this one so I didn't do any research. I had also found a health card there but it as from an elderly women & turned up nothing..





As you can tell, I loved the look of this place! It was so decrepit as it stood atop the hill. I am sure it was a beautiful place at one time with a million dollar view. So back to the story. The gentleman's which I found did reveal a lot of information. The man was a breeder of essentially a mutt. From what I read the breed was not recognized but this may have changed.  Back in the 1970s a group of breeders got together four different breeds. These were bred with the intention of creating the ideal therapy dog. The man who's name I had found was listed on forums etc as being a breeder which aligned but there was so much more going on.





Right away this place had bad vibes. It didn't take too long to realize that what was happening here was pretty awful. The dog crates all had several inches of dried poop in them. There is really no other way to describe it other than squalor. There was a main floor bedroom & it too had several inches of compacted, dried poop. In fact, the bedroom bathroom was biohazards. What you can't see in the photos but can in the video is the fact the dogs had at one point chewed a hole through the wall. Clearly some had been locked inside for so long they had to break free.





Here's where things get bad.   I was researching all I could as clearly something here was not right.  It started with this man being the breeder for this articular breed.  I read many review & testimonials that all seemed good up until around 2012.  This aligned with the last dates I found inside the Abandoned Hilltop Mansion.   From numerous posts it seemed this guy was running a shady operation.  Nobody was allowed to see the environment which the litters were raised in.  He would show up with a dog & basically say take it or leave it without letting your choose our own.   These went on  & on.   There were warnings & even comments saying this guy is dangerous & not playing with a full deck.  So far from what I saw here, all that checks out.  There was one very detailed comment advising this guy was a collector which explains the entire room full of bird cages.  As well said he was a broker for a few puppy mills.  I kinda feel this was a bigger operation than what was assumed.





I also found that the man had attempted to trademark the breed in 2012 however the application was listed as dead in 2014 due to "Interruption of proceeding". It seemed 2012 was the end of this operation. Posts kept saying they were no longer hearing from him & more & more negative reviews came out. There was even a MASSIVE backlash at a Toronto editorial which listed these starting at $1200 mutts as great Christmas gifts. This one article had HUNDREDS of angry comments! There were complaints of the temperament, & various other behavioral issues. These are often caused by poor environment, inbreeding etc.





It was around 2013 when it seems this man fell off the map. There is still contact information out there but it seems its all old or disconnected. I couldn't find anything about an obituary or criminal charges. Now for my conclusions. This was his parents house & he was living with them until they passed. I believe the husband passed on before his wife & was stricken to the main floor bedroom. The women had a bedroom upstairs with the roof caved in. Her name was on a chest in the room as well as the health card. By now her health was failing & the son had really expanded his "breeding" operation to now use the main floor. I suspect the mother either passed or moved into assisted living. At the same time, I feel this man's mental health was going. As the house decayed it could have lead to health problems.  The fact none of the bathrooms were remotely usable & the dozens, if not hundreds of pee bottles all over the bedroom tell a very clear story. The house was basically unlivable. I think at some point he left, was removed or passed on & the nightmare was over. This Abandoned Hilltop Mansion was one very sad place. It was bad exploring it but only got worse with research & filling in missing pieces.

This US Agents Abandoned Mansion was quite a surprise!  Zenning with Zay & I had it on our map for years but never took the time to check it.  Finally one day I was heading to another location & decided to finally check in out.  Was I ever in for a surprise!





Right away I was blown away with just how decayed this place was.  You really wouldn't know it either unless you were right there to see for yourself.  The property is typically kept to an extent & the exterior isn't falling to bits at the front!





Now I didn't get much opportunity to nose around deep into this place as my visit came to an abrupt end.  But from what I saw, this was definitely an American citizens home.  He had been in the Air Force & I suspect even special forces.  As I explored, the mansion kept me asking questions.   It was really weird that the entire place had bullets in EVERY room.  I don't mean a few, but thousands!





I was loving the US Agents Abandoned Mansion!  This was such a interesting explore.  It's also nice to explore a place with so much decay!  Then clean ones can get boring if you don't get your fix of decay!





I had finished up taking all my photos but still had to do my video.  I checked the time & was shocked to see I had been here for over two hours just taking photos!  It was now time to shoot the video.  Everything was going great & I was just about finished when things went sideways.





I was in the back area where all the gun safes were when & heard a noise.  It was foot steps in the snow.  I stood still & knew the person was just outside.  I crept over to the window & opened a curtain just a bit & a man, following my footprints & looking in the window.  Crap!  I thought it may have been an explorer as he seemed to have a camera bag.  The thing about this place was there was only one way in & out due to snow & ice.  I waited a bit then I heard him inside.  Still assuming it was an explorer, I waited then he opened a door.

After a somewhat hostile introduction & hm acting really odd, I asked about the place.  This guy was guarded & still aggressive but I was calm & cool.  I've seen this movie before & know how it will play out.  I asked if I could finish up.  He said it wouldn't be okay. I was still trying to get some info & he finally told me he was the neighbour who was tasked with watching it.  He brushed off my questions & said he thinks a movie was filmed there.  I played along but doubted him.  He took my picture & sad the cops would come to my house if anything was missing to which I laughed.  This place as frigged!  What could be taken?   Either way I was super cautious & think it was sheer coincidence that he caught me.

Now this Abandoned 1960s Time Capsule was pretty amazing!  Zenning with Zay had a pin & suggested we check it out.  I had no idea what we were in for but it turned out to be incredible!





This abandoned house in located in a neighbourhood full of new mansions. As the previous generation transitions into smaller homes, assisted living or even passing away, these places are bought & demolished. Its sad seeing it as these truly unique places are being replaced with extravagant yet boring hulking mansions.





The upper level was pretty interesting & had some wild 60's colours going on!  The green shag & that orange & white built-in dresser!  Plus the two bathrooms were pretty fancy!  Then you get to the master bedroom & its just boring.  Fortunately the rest of the house made up for the one boring bedroom.





As you can see the main floor was incredible!  This Abandoned 1960s Time Capsule was built by a developer.  He & his family were the sole owners up until 2022.





This one room was pretty wild!  So much amazing custom work done to it.  It's really sad that it will be destroyed.   I personally would love to have it!  Sure, its a bit dark but open the curtains!





I absolutely love the kitchen.  It was so funky & unique!  This house was really a fun explore.  The funny thing is, I completely forgot to film the upper level as i was too into the main floor!  Fortunately there really wasn't that much to see up there.

This Abandoned Bridle Path Mansion was truly an incredible explore!  It also was ridiculously big & Zenning with Zay & I saw 99% of it all.   Located at 68 The Bridle Path, this mansion was at one time one of the most expensive houses for sale in the country!




Now this is not the biggest mansion in the country.  We already know that is the The Peter Grant mansion!  But this was certainly one of the most expensive!  Sitting in the Bridle Path neighbourhood, this nearly 30,000 square foot mansion was built on two lots purchased in the early 1980's by Robert Campeau.  Campeau was a real estate developer who made his fortune starting with the development of the suburb Kanata, Ontario.





The French Chateau inspired mansion featured 10 bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, state of the art gourmet kitchen, a 50 foot indoor swimming pool.  What's interesting is that the pool has custom cover which turns the massive room into a dance floor for a ballroom.





This Abandoned Bridle Path Mansion has hosted many exclusive events including a party for Jane Fonda.  The pool was covered for the event & the staff worked feverishly overnight to prepare the pool.  See the next day former prime minister Pierre Trudeau would be there for swim!





The mansion was also blessed by the Toronto archbishop Cardinal Gerald Emmett Carter.  It has also been in several movies & television shows!  Most notably was the movie It Takes Two starring Ashley & Mary-Kate Olsen, Steve Guttenberg & the late Kirstie Alley.  Another well known show, Suits used it as a filming location.





In 2002 Harold and Sara Springer purchased the mansion for $7.5 million & were the last people to live there.  The wealthy couple bought the mansion & wanted to match the authenticity of a French Chateau.  They filled the mansion with antiques dating back to the 17th century & hired famed landscape architect for the grounds.





The attention to detail in this place was amazing.  The hand painted cobblestone street scene was to evoke a feeling of the streets in Paris.





When we first entered this place our jaws dropped.  Zenning with Zay & I had seen some other photos from this place but they didn't do it justice.  It was really so friggin big!  But to be honest, there was a a lot of wasted space.  We had spent a good 4 hours exploring it.  Now this was the last explore for the day so we had already done a lot of walking.   By the time I was done taking photos & ready to film I was pretty tired.  Yet I had to finish.





The two best features of the mansion had to be the pool & grand entrance.  Both were awe inspiring but there was one thing I didn't like.  The pool is not centered in the massive room!  I really don't understand why this would be done but there has to be a reason.  Regardless, it was just so incredible I am happy we had our chance to explore!  Sadly, this beauty that once stood at 68 The Bridle Path has been demolished.

While out on a adventure Zenning with Zay directed us to this Huge Abandoned Country Home!  Just looking at this place you know it was once a well loved & beautiful home.





Now in all honesty, I have completely forgotten where this place is. Which means I have no way of getting any information on it. WHat I can say is that at one time it was certainy a beautiful home. It seemed as though additions were aded over the years. The brickwork was beautiful as were all the other accents ont he exterior. This leads me to believe the original owners were quite wealthy.





Although this Huge Abandoned Country Home looked awesome on the outside, it really wasn't that exciting on the inside sadly.  There was some decay but not a lot.  The bedrooms had some pretty bold paint colour choices.  Plus in a few of them there was drawings & song lyrics.





The main floor here was the least interesting. You can see the whole place in the video but I didn't want to just take pictures of nothing. Rather focus on the interesting things rather than just filler content.  I really hate seeing such big & beautiful places sit & rot. Both Zay & I have talked about how cool it would be to restore an old place!  Maybe one day we will find one that has a decent amount of property & close to water!
