Abandoned 1880s Country House

In April after returning from the Caribbean, Zenning with Zay & I explored this Abandoned 1880s Country House!  We had checked it out before our trip but had to bail as a neighbouring house happened to drive out right as we were getting to the place.  No problem, a a trip to south & we were back at it!

When we pulled up, we were quite surprised.  This place was a lot bigger from what we could see from the road.  There was actually a massive addition that we only noticed upon arriving!

Once inside we were even more surprised to find the power still was connected.  Clearly the place was abandoned as even the driveway itself was nonexistent.  The fields were not farmed, & the barns definitely not used.  I decided to do the unthinkable & open the refrigerator since I could here it running.   As I braced for the stench, I was pleasantly surprised that nothing was rotten.  This also concerned me.  I quickly grabbed package of sausages & read an expiry data of 2017!  Phew!  I then checked some pasta salad & it read the same.  Oddly, nothing was rotten which raises concern about the food.  Nearly 8 years after the best before date & nothing looked bad.  You can see this all in the video!

As we continued on, it was clear that there was some renovations being done at some point. They too were abandoned just like the house. It was only until I got upstairs that I was able to determine the age of the house. The corner stone (I think its called) was dated 1880 which is pretty wild! Unfortunately I was unable to find any other info about this abandoned 188s country house, but if I do, I will add an update!
